For Naïa, the ocean has always been more than water and waves: it’s a place of hidden stories, vast mysteries, and endless possibilities. As an investigative journalist from French Polynesia, she’s compelled by questions that dive beneath the surface of what’s seen and heard. Her journey is a pursuit of understanding, driven by an insistent need to connect humanity’s progress with the pulse of the planet. In every coastal town and every oceanic trench, she searches for clues that reveal how we might restore balance to the world that sustains us.
Her quest is fueled by a desire to break down the barriers around oceanic careers, unravel myths, and empower her generation to discover meaningful, impactful paths. Along her travels, Naia encounters inspiring individuals - entrepreneurs, scientists and visionaries - who, like her, believe in reconciling human ambition with the health of our oceans.
Why Naïa, Voice of the Ocean?
In a world where the health of our oceans is increasingly threatened by climate change, pollution, and unsustainable practices, it is critical to engage younger generations in ocean conservation. However, the blue economy remains a relatively unknown field to most, despite offering a wide range of career paths in areas like marine biology, renewable energy and sustainable fisheries.
Naïa seeks to bridge this gap by combining entertainment with education, making ocean-related topics more relatable and easier to understand for a general audience. By using a comic book format, we are able to captivate readers’ imaginations and connect them emotionally to the importance of the ocean in a way that textbooks and traditional media cannot.
Our mission is simple but powerful: to help young generations find purpose and inspiration in their professional lives through the boundless opportunities the ocean provides.

In partnership with Children for the Ocean, we’re thrilled to present the United Ocean Workshop, a one-of-a-kind role-playing experience, where you become a key decision-maker in managing our ocean.
As a group, you’ll dive headfirst into the heart of marine conservation, tackling some of the most pressing challenges our oceans face today. In this interactive experience, you won’t just learn about ocean issues, you’ll be in the driver’s seat, making decisions and finding solutions.
